Improving Home Economics Students’ Interest in Biology: The Influence of Certain Effective Teachers’ Classroom Management Practices

ABSTRACT
 Studies have shown that teachers’ classroom management practices play a significant role in ensuring effective education and maintenance of students’ interest. Thus, the purpose this study was to investigate influence perceptions some Classroom Management Practices on their Interest Biology. Students’ Biology (SIB) Teacher (TCMP) questionnaires were used collect data from 331 students selected seven schools New Juabeng Municipality Eastern Region Ghana. interest found be generally moderate. Task orientation, equity teacher support often perceived. A positive moderate correlation between SIB TCMP also recorded. orientation differentiation very good predictors SIB. It recommended SHS teachers should take steps orient well tasks use differentiated approaches teaching.
